McCann, according to two major league sources, has ruled the Rangers out and, according to a source, is on the verge of a long-term deal with the New York Yankees. McCann’s agent, BB Abbott, said he could not confirm that his client had agreed to terms with any team.
McCann, who turns 30 in January, batted .256/.336/.461/.796 with 20 home runs and 57 RBI for the Braves in 2013 and has played with them his entire career.
