This news doesn't come as a surprise at all. Joe Girardi just finally made the news official. Hooray #TANAK!
A-Rod will play five innings at first base on Sunday.

Alex Rodriguez will be playing some first base on Sunday in Kissimmee against the Houston Astros.
There had been talk since camp broke - and even before the team reported for Spring Training - that there was a possibility of Rodriguez playing some first base to give Mark Teixeira some relief. He was even given a first baseman's glove but up until last week, it seemed to be all talk and no action.
Then there were reports that Tex was working with A-Rod and showing him the ropes at first. Well, now, we'll get to see if Tex's tutelage worked.
Oh, wait, no we won't because the game isn't on TV. It's not on YES nor is it on MLB Network. It's also not on mlb.tv.
Hmm so if no one sees Alex Rodriguez play first base, did it really happen? We'll find out Sunday evening, I guess.
