Last September, we added a module to the right sidebar of this blog. That module, "Sanchez vs. Price", has been in hibernation for some time due to David Price's early season elbow injury. Please pardon me for a second while I explain why it exists.
Gary Sanchez is under Yankee control for the next six seasons, including 2017, through the 2023 offseason at minimum. David Price conveniently signed a seven-year, $217m contract the same year that Sanchez debuted. Thus, the two will do battle against each other for the foreseeable future.
Gary Sanchez owns David Price. Why? I don't know. He's a right-handed power hitter and David Price may not be that good any more. Including tonight, Sanchez has hit .571/.727/1.778 off Price in 11 plate appearances. See you in July, David.
The rest of the game was great too. Pineda got back on track against a dangerous offense.
