I'm thrilled for the Yanks! I am also thrilled not have to listen to Bob Costas anymore this season. I am sick of his encyclopedic knowledge of trivia and his non-stopped blathering making the game more about him than what was happening on the field. I know he desperately wants to be inducted into the Hall as an announcer but people listening at home do not want a professorial lecture. He could take a lesson from the great, late Jack Buck and report on the game. It's the game, Bob. The harder you try for Cooperstown, the worst it sounds. I think he is part of the pre-game and not play-by-play. I pray. He is insufferable. I can only imagine how Ron Darling felt during the series fighting to get a word in.
