Quick Hit: Offense Came Back!

The Yankees put up a 10 spot on the Tampa Bay Rays, in a 10-6 win on Mother's Day! HR's from Jones, Trevino (2), Judge, and Torres.

The highlight of the game for me was seeing Jahmai Jones get his first Major League homer, which is significant, being that the Yankees are his FOURTH Major League team (Angels, Orioles, & Brewers before the Yankees) and he didn't receive that much playing time with all those other organizations either.


Jahmai Jones is so well liked in the Yankee clubhouse. He reminds me a lot of Ronald Torreyes, a guy who plays very very little but is one of the most popular players on the team because of his personality. He is a guy who earns a roster spot on a team primarily because of the positive vibes and the vibrant energy he brings to a clubhouse and …

He threw 26 pitches in 1.2 innings. Tomorrow is an off-day, so he will be available for the next game on Tuesday. If he's left in, maybe he's unavailable until Wednesday. Plus, Hamilton doesn't get another opportunity to work out his problems with a safe 5-run lead.
