A picture, it has been said, is worth a thousand words. Well, here are 25,000 words.

This is the Manager of the New York Yankees.

There was a time when the Yankees uniform represented professionalism, excellence, and greatness.

That time is no longer.

Note - I never thought I would find this many photos of Aaron Boone blowing bubbles. The sad reality is there must be a ton more...

This collection of photos represents only the ones I found scrolling through Getty Images with the search term, "Aaron Boone." I stopped on page 16 of 83 total pages. Amazing.

I have a new slogan for the Yankees:

Many Bubbles.

No World Championships.

I'd rather have a manager who chews gum and blows bubbles than one who chews tobacco and spits the juice, let alone one who regularly gets into fist fights.

Moreover, in the pantheon of Boone's failings, why doe this one even rate? Are we suddenly living in Singapore?

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

—Jonathan Eig, New York Times best-selling author of Luckiest Man, Opening Day, and Ali: A Life

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
