"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."

The interesting thing consistently represented in this photo array, Paul, is the apparent good will and, dare I say, affection these old rivals seem to have for one another. Now I know Joe D and Dom were brothers, I get that. But it looks like Ted Williams is mentoring Roger Maris - and enjoying the role - for goodness sakes! I thought the Yankees and Red Sox were mortal enemies, always have been and always will be. These photos suggest otherwise. Thanks!
