According to Mark Feinsand, the Yankees have agreed to a One-Year, $10 million dollar deal with CC Sabathia to return to the Bronx. The deal is pending a physical and Yankees have yet to announce it, as expected. As more details, if any, are announced through verified sources I will update the post as it goes along.

Currently, the starting rotation- if the medical details are good for the Yankees- looks to have a very solid core with Luis Severino, Masahiro Tanaka, Sonny Gray, with Jordan Montgomery and CC Sabathia.
I do not expect this move to be the final nail in the coffin for the Yankees rotation next year, and with the rumors around Michael Fulmer and Gerrit Cole, I would expect one of those coming to fruition within the next few weeks or so. Keep in mind that this wouldn’t be a problem for the Yankees as Montgomery has options to go back down to Scranton, which could save his arm for later in the season, and, obviously, allow him to stay stretched out and to come up at the first injury concerns.
Sabathia has kind of filled Pettitte role in lots of ways, not only adapting and pitching well late in career and being a leader, but in taking 1-yr deals to stay in preferred place: with #Yankees — Joel Sherman (@Joelsherman1) December 16, 2017
