Congrats Brendan Burke!

On July 1, Islanders Announcer, Brendan Burke, will fill in for John Sterling on the Yankees radio. Burke will do the Yankees games on the radio from July 1 through July 6.

I am THRILLED to hear this because Brendan is a true professional and a great person. I know he will do great in this assignment.

You can rest assured that I will be listening in.

I love when a person's hard work pays off. Brendan has worked extremely hard to get this opportunity.

I am especially thrilled for Brendan because once, a long time ago, for a short time, I was his eighth grade history teacher. He's a great person from a great family.

Congratulations to Brendan and the whole Burke family.

I couldn't be happier for you all!

That's awesome! My first job offer out of college was to be a play-by-play radio announcer at the AHL level. Brendan Burke is actually my favorite current hockey announcer on the radio, so I think he's a great fit for this role.

So cool to know that you taught him way back when, Paul!

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
