but it is also true that they hit MANY balls very hard today that were directly at a defender

that includes Rice batting with runners on 2b and 3b and hitting a should be 2 run single, but instead a line drive straight at the RF defender

he hit the ball hard and on a line but it still ended up being part of 0 for 6
