Weathers vs Cease -- Yankees have to battle vs two pitchers to score runs.

Ramos perfectly placed in lineup to kill a rally.

Chisholm benched vs RHP

Rice gets unfamiliar role -- 1B (He needs complete rest!)

Wells catches day game after afternoon game. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he's the starting catcher for the off day tomorrow!

One more thing (said in Peter Falk voice). Lombard 11 games played, 11 DPs. Record for a season is held by Rick Burleson, 147. Lombard was at 118 OPS+ before today; if he can simply be league-average, he's immensely valuable.

This was the 22nd game this year where the Yankees scored exactly 4 runs. Normally, doing that gets you about a .500 record, and sure enough, they are 11-11 in those games. I'd have expected that with all the pitching, they'd be doing better.

No, because every time I say "Uncle" on behalf of the Yankees, they give up for some reason.
