bu I fear that the highly talented and terribly uneven Chisholm will be replaced by competent and reliable and mature infielder who will not annoy the managers and fans.

Chisholm is not reliable and mature,,, although in comparison to Gleyber Torres, Jazz might seem to be tolerable,

a 4WAR player last season, a 1WAR player this season.

it's quite easy to find a 1WAR second baseman

it's not east to fine a 4WAR one.

it's impossible to have a team composed of a dozen guys like Chisholm

it would be chaotic

it might be a good thing to have 1 or 2 such players, and a fair supply of antacids

This is what I don't like about Spencer Jones. He takes pictures of too many strikes. That 3-1 pitch said 'please smack me', but he just let it go. This is to me, the biggest adjustment he has had to make the last couple of years. He needs to swing at strikes, not let them pass. I saw this in AA in 2024 too.

he's got to learn how to recognize strikes before he will be able to put a food swing on them.

major league pitchers are quite good at throwing things that look like strikes but bend away from the zone.
