They have to play a rubber game -- AT HOME -- against the ROCKIES????????
Unfortunately DJ is back in the lineup. How can anyone justify letting him start a game?
Resting Wells again -- maybe they should see a doctor about why he needs so much rest. It's a shame to see such a young guy age so fast.
Soto needs to get hot again -- Nationals are next up!

Can we all please stop the "why is Trevino starting" nonsense? The answer is, IT'S A PLATOON. Trevino has a .686 OPS vs. lefties; not great, but for Wells, it's .529. Austin Gober is a lefty. That's why Trevino is starting today. If Boone were starting a guy with 150 OPS points worse than the alternative, we should be calling for his head.
maybe it wasn't entirely dumb that the Yankees didn't DFA Torres
he's been reasonably effective since becoming the lead-off hitter
I'm pleased that MLB network aired today's game for free. Quite a show the big 3 have put on for us.
I was thinking yesterday, when a "not yet ready for the majors" Will Warren was being rocked by the Rockies, instead of putting a green "not quite ready for prime time" pitcher into a "replacement starter" role (in the event of injury, late scratch of scheduled starter, or a double header), why not try this guy, Luke Weaver? Weaver has years of experience as a starting pitcher for the Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Royals, Reds, and Mariners before the Yankees converted him into a reliever. Granted, he was not very good in all those years as a starter. But maybe, the tinkering by Yankee coaches that made Weaver reasonably successful as a high leverage reliever will translate into Weaver being successful…
