If Volpe is not injured, Yankees need to look for a shortstop for the future. We can only afford keeping McMahon for his defense if the SS and C put up at least league average numbers. Leiter Jr. was alway a mistake on Cashman's part. He was another pitcher with poor numbers that Cashman thought the Yankees could fix. There were better bullpen arms available at the time.
