anyone else getting sick of the every day Ohtani hype train?

the 20/20, 30/30, 40/40, 50/50 thing has always been at least a bit random

PLENTY of players could have stolen more bases if they wanted to. i am NOT trying to say steals dont matter and I wish the Yankees would let a few of the correct players on the roster steal more!!

but also, like Mickey Mantle said, "If i would have known that was a big deal, i would have done it."

even with Judge having a sort of a slumpish few weeks and Ohtani having a very hot streak-

OBP- Judge still leads by .073

.458 to .385

slugging- Judge leads .695 to .640

OPS- Judge…

no, not at all sick of celebrating Ohtani's OUTSTANDING season.

it certainly has been drawing a tremendous amount of publicity

but the Dodgers have a large investment in Ohtani and a more than reasonable interest in seeing that Ohtani is publicized

but more than anything else, Ohtani has earned the hype

Judge has been even more valuable than Ohtani

but Ohtani is the only player who has compiled a greater number of extra base hits than has Judge

even if he has two fewer HRs

the game is big enough for more than one hero.

we can, in good faith, embrace Soto as a second hitting hero for the Yankees.

we can also accept that Ohtani is a more valuable…

6-game lead on O's is best all year. It was 5 games yesterday and on September 18. Before that, it was 4.5 games on June 6 before they started collapsing. Over the last 10 games, New York has added 5 full games over Baltimore. Yanks seem to be peaking at the right time.

reports of the Yankee collapse have been slightly exaggerated.

sometimes a bout of dizziness doesn't prove to be incapacitating.

MAGIC NUMBER DOWN TO 1......So the Yankees have clinched at least a TIE for the AL East Division title.

Indeed. I strongly doubt the Yankees are going to lose every remaining game on the schedule, and I also strongly doubt the Orioles will win every remaining game on the schedule, so the job WILL be finished.

We may be getting our wish after all about Yankee nemesis, Red Sox manager Alex Cora getting suspended. He went BALLISTIC today! After he was ejected, he was furious and got his money's worth, and vehemently argued in an animated fashion and made contact with the umpire with another umpire trying to block Cora from the umpire, and Cora ended up bumping that umpire, too! So I think Cora will now be suspended by the MLB.

Indeed, and Rocco Baldelli argued first, so the umpires huddled, had a conference with one another and adjusted the ruling, causing Cora to go insane and lose his mind and act like a complete imbecile.
