If I were the manager, this would be Cole's audition for the post-season roster. My three starters are Cam, Max and Carlos. I don't see Cole having a role vs. Boston.

I would think this would be the time to empty the bench and rest. Starting Cole is a questionable move and yes, I used to be a pitcher once upon a time so I get wanting to get a few innings in. However, a little rest isn't a bad thing, as pitchers can also throw reduced bullpen sessions to get their work in. Bring up one of the kids and give him a start. Why risk Cole getting injured? It's not like the Yankees have anything left to really play for. They're a second place team in their own Division.
