I think it's wrong on why they stopped using Kate (The Fat Lady referenced from the cliché) Smith's version of Gd Bless America, but anything that let's me hear Robert Merrill is is definitely OK with me!

she made some obnoxious choices at an earlier time

and there's nary a thing wrong or improper about choosing to disassociate from those choices.
