Boone would be very Fluhardy if he allows Williams to attempt closing tomorrow (or any time soon)

ok Prof. I know you are keeping a running total, how many games has the pen blown now? it is nuts!! outside of the meltdowns in the blown games the pen has been pretty fantastic, yet they have played the leading role in about half of our losses

BTW we made alejandro freaking kirk look like the second coming of Johnny Bench

Well, at least I'm not worried about a nightmare tonight -- already saw one.

Can't blame this one on Cashman. Williams looked like a great pick up.

What a shame.

Seems Alonso really did break him.

Replying to

that has to be at least a worthy theory, but there are probably plenty of them. I think he pitched about 3 innings in the spring. EVERYONE should have known that it would be VITAL for him to get off to a good start and he has always been a bit of a slow starter

so maybe the end of last season put him in a funk or maybe having a terrible first outing in Yankee stadium did it or maybe it is some other thing completely

but he needs to NOT be the closer and hope things work their way back into place
