Cabrera is 3 for 3 with 3 doubles , and 2RBIs in Game 2. A few days ago his BA was .14something, now it's over .200. He just keeps looking better and better at the plate. Let's not forget about him as an option too.

Replying to

Cabrera is a modern day My Man Godfrey.

he's fated to be a forgotten man

perhaps he'll catch on with some other team should the Pinstripers set him free

OK, all the arms I wanted to see for the affiliates are out of the game. Jack Cebert ran into trouble in the 6th in his AA debut, giving up a 2R shot, so hell get the win with them up 10-2, but he looked looked Mahvelous! With Hess hurt, and with another 4 or 5 guys being big disappointment so far, Cebert could end up being the 3rd ranked NYY SP prospect behind ERC & Lagrange when they redo the prospect rankings at some point after the draft in July.

The other think that I notice and I thought it is odd; Volpe is wearing his Yankee batting helmet with #11 on it, but he is wearing his AA…

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
