I blame the Equipment Manager: Why is Wells still wearing his own uniform and using his own bat?

I expect Wells will turn things around offensively any year now.

McMahon bats (he certainly can't hit) 6th -- where he can protect Volpe.

Jones is back -- but still at DH!!

Who's the closer? Too often it's been Abbott & Costello

Over / Under: SBs by Jones, 0.5

Guerrero, 1B -- .285

Varsho, CF -- .261

Okamoto, 3B -- .234

Sneider, 2B -- .141

Gimenez, SS -- .237

Heineman, C -- .150

Cease, P -- 3-1, 2.41

Judge, RF -- .266 (171)

Bellinger, LF -- .271 (141)

Cease came into the game as one of the best starters in the league.

I think it is safe to say the Yankees handled him very well. his ERA and WHIP will certainly move in the wrong direction

nobody even mentioned the ump ringing Judge up in consecutive ABs on bad calls!!

Judge is very definitely too kind and too respectful for his own good!!!

I guarantee you that he did NOT want to challenge the ump in consecutive ABs. likely thought about showing him up, being disrespectful, etc...

the fact is the umps have VERY MUCH DISRESPECTED the best hitter in the game for YEARS!!! the guy is clearly the best hitter in the game and the umps have NEVER come close to giving him the benefit of the doubt on anything!!

and Tumpain instead of recognizing that Judge has a better eye than he does and letting him have the walk that he earned in the…

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
