we will have to wait

and see what's on Soto's mind.

there is little doubt that this is a very good team, that Soto is well-treated, well-respected and held in esteem by his team-mates.

when Aaron Judge accommodates you by giving up his position in order to make sure that things as comfortable as possible for you, you have been served notice that you're right where you should be happy to be.

there is no doubt that the Yankees will be glad to offer Soto enough money to insure that Soto's great-grandchildren will be able to afford to use $50 bills for baby-wipes for their children.

only real question is whether Soto wants to stay and win championships here

or…

Soto may be the player of the game due to to his 2 HRs, but the play of the game belongs to Trevino, who beat out that DP ball.

VERY NICE hustle by Trevino- FOR SURE!!!

but if he gets doubled, Volpe still comes to bat. different scenario yes!! but all he has to do is get on to bring Soto up. at that point, I dont know if it matters much

i actually think Gleyber deserves plenty of credit for getting a nice 2 strike hit to start the inning positively and show everyone that the Giants closer was not untouchable

i am curious to see replay of Volpe's hit. i REALLY hope he was paying close attention to Trevino in front of him. to me in actuality with Soto and Judge coming up there was zero reason for Trevino to be sent home UNLESS it was…

If the bullpen can hold this one, this will be the most thrilling win of the entire West Coast road trip, and a great way to end this long trip.

Always great to see Jahmai Jones get out of the dugout and get into a game for a change. He hardly plays, but the players love having him as a teammate. If given a chance, he may just be a lot more productive, at least offensively, than Trent Grisham.

Maybe he can DFA Grisham, or use him as an "add on", in addition to a player another team wants, in return for a bullpen upgrade for the Yankees.

Soto The Savior! I am still saying "Soto for AL MVP", although Judge has also made a case to be the AL MVP this season, too. Now, it can be either one of those two.

I agree. I think Judge has surpassed Soto for the award if the award was to be decided today, and not at the end of the season. At this point, if you take either one of them out of the Yankee lineup for an extended period of time, the team will be extremely less effective and it would cost them a lot of wins. But for now, it looks like Judge has moved ahead of Soto for that potential honor.
