The Yankees are going to keep up their tradition of winning whenever Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton homer in the same game.

Better a home run than a walk.

But not with a huge lead. If the Royals were up 7-0 or 10-0, their pitchers should go right after Soto and Judge. There's about a 70% chance they get an out, and if there's a solo homer, so what. But you walk Soto, you walk Judge, Verdugo hits an RBI single, and Stanton homers, and now it's 7-4. Don't put runners on base when you have a big lead; go after them.

I'm developing doubts as to whether the Royals can pullet out

My only hope now is that they save some runs for the other two games in Kansas City, and those three games in Boston.
