I think this is Yarbrough's 2nd 3-inning save. I'm good if he has another 5-6 of these saves.

are you generally at peace with the idea of using a starter for ~ 6 innings and then employing a multi-inning reliever?

seems to me as though modern pitching theory has embraced having pitchers making great effort in each pitch and, consequently, throwing a reduced number of them.

greater velocity, increased "break" might suggest a slight sacrifice of precision.

i had a bit of difficulty accepting it all, I was acclimated to he idea of employing precise location to frustrate hitters rather than simply overpowering a line-up. I was taught that chasing velocity or BugsBunny stuff would lead to arm/shoulder injury.

i was taught these things long before the present, before the advent of modern techniques applied to the study…

Beck @ Columbus tonight: 6IP, ER, 9K, 0BB, 3H

Bryce Cunningham had another solid start for the Renegades tonight. That makes 2 in a row. It looks like he's getting healthy. Velocity is up again

And this is for Andy: RHP Brian Henry had 2.2 IP of shut out ball in the FCL. 5K, 0BB

Rice changed his batting stance vs Acuna -- but it didn't help.
