I'm not talking about Deivi Garcia or anyone else. I agree that Cashman has a number of bad decisions ascribable or chargeable to him over the last quarter century (I suspect we all do). He also has a number of really great successes. But none of that is the immediate point, which is Sanchez's defense, which whether you like defensive statistics or not, is also confirmed by the eye test that he gave up trying to be an adequate Major League defensive catcher.

I didn't recognize Weissert at first with his "I no longer play for the Yankees" look. He was traded for Verdugo and his beard looks exactly like the beard that Verdugo had when he was with the Red Sox.

The beard looks awful. So many of these guys who grow beards simply because they can, shouldn't. Monty's mountain man look was awful, now that it's neat, it looks good.
