The only chance the Yankees have to win this game is for the rain delay to last until Judge can come off the IL.

OK Stanton throwing to the wrong base and a wild pitch wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

And Boone took out the guy pitching a one-hitter after 74 pitches why? To give the bullpen some work? Be careful what you wish for. Hamilton and Kahnle are getting plenty of work this inning.

fuster had a comment that seems to have disappeared about the Yankees being at .544 and tied for the 3rd Wild card. So I ran some numbers:

We know that with Judge, the Yankees played .612; without Judge, .463. Yankees.com says Judge is back "possibly August." So let's consider four scenarios: Judge returning August 1 (out for 16 more games, including the current one), August 16 (30 games), September 1 (44 games) or 2024 (72 games). That at the current rates, they'd expect to win, respectively 42 more games, 40, 38 and 33. Right now, the Yankees are 49-41, so that means 91 wins (.561), 89 (.549), 87 (.537) and 82 (.506). That's good right now for, respectively, 2n…

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
