I am so upset with the Yankees that I refuse to watch another game --- at least until Friday.

Whoever put the game plan together for today is NOT THINKING BASEBALL. Today the day before a 4 day break, is not a normal game, and you need to treat it a little bit differently, especially pitching wise. This is just another thing they did to that proves analytics being the way to map out or play a baseball game is 100000000% W-R-O+N-G!

I'd also like to see a stat adjusted for IRS. You give the outgoing pitcher an increase in runs allowed for the run expectancy when they leave. So for example today, Warren left with runner on third, one out, an RE of 0.908, and that gets added for his ERA purposes regardless of whether the run scores or not. Here, the runner did score, so 0.092 of a run is added to Hamilton's ERA calculation (plus of course the one RA on the HR he gave up).

This stat balances the responsibility between outgoing and incoming pitchers. So if there's a runner on first and two outs who scores on the reliever, the outgoing pitcher who put him on get…

OK, Warren got through 5. Time to hit the showers. Now I want Schlittler for the next 2, but since he's not up yet, that's not their plan. I'm just shaking my head in disbelief.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
