IBWAA Selects Managers of the Year

IBWAA SELECTS HYDE, SNITKER IN 2023 MANAGER OF THE YEAR VOTE

The Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA) announced the winners of the IBWAA Manager of the Year Awards Tuesday: Brandon Hyde of the Baltimore Orioles and Brian Snitker of the Atlanta Braves. This is the IBWAA’s 15th annual election for these awards. All IBWAA members were eligible to vote.


Election results are as follows:


American League:

1st Place: Brandon Hyde, Baltimore Orioles- 214 points 2nd Place: Bruce Bochy, Texas Rangers- 75 points 3rd Place: Kevin Cash, Tampa Bay Rays- 58 points


National League:

1st Place: Brian Snitker, Atlanta Braves- 118 points 2nd Place: Craig Counsell, Milwaukee Brewers- 82 points 3rd Place: Skip Schumaker, Miami Marlins- 64 points


The IBWAA endeavors to serve the baseball writing community, representing more than 800 baseball content creators. We strive to increase visibility, networking, and opportunities for all of our members. Voting for full-season awards takes place in September of each year, with selections announced in November. The IBWAA also holds voting for our Hall of Fame, preseason predictions, All-Stars, and Content Creator Awards.

But no writer, internet or otherwise has yer to apologize for giving Altuve the 2017 AL MVP. Judge posted hurt for 6 weeks, Altuve cheated! I know you can't undo it, but be a man and apologize.
