Spring Training is winding down and the season will open on Thursday. That is just three days from now. It is time to make some predictions. I did pretty well last year, so let's see how I do this year.

  • Who will finish second on the team in home runs? Giancarlo Stanton- 42

  • How many games will the Yankees win this year? 103

  • How many Yankees will hit 30 or more home runs this season? Four: Judge, Stanton, Anthony Rizzo, and Oswaldo Cabrera.

  • How many times will Aaron Boone be ejected from a game this season? 7

  • Who will lead the Yankees in stolen bases? Anthony Volpe-55

  • Which pitcher will lead the Yankees in wins? Nestor Cortes, Jr, - 16

  • Who will play more games for the Yankees in 2023, Aaron Hicks or Oswaldo Cabrera? Cabrera

  • How many times will John Sterling misjudge a fly ball on the air? 37

  • How many Yankees will hit 20 or more home runs? Seven: Judge, Stanton, Rizzo, Cabrera, Harrison Bader, Anthony Volpe, and Oswald Peraza.

  • Which current Yankees will be off the roster by the trading deadline? Aaron Hicks, Josh Donaldson, and Gleyber Torres.

  • Who will win the American League MVP? Aaron Judge

  • Who will win the American League Cy Young Award? Nestor Cortes, Jr.

  • Who will win the American League Rookie of the Year? Anthony Volpe and Oswald Peraza in a tie

If none of your predictions come true with the exception of Hicks and Donaldson being gone, I'll be content. They need to be gone.

Very thrilled to see Volpe starting at short rather than messing with the kid's mind like they've done repeatedly with their young talent. If Boone is smart, he'll tell the kid to just relax, the job is yours. Even if he slumps at the plate, just stay the course. The…

Volpe makes the team and Peraza sent to AAA. If he plays 2B down there that's a sure indicator they plan to trade Torres.
