Will Warren wasn't quite ready for the majors. I thought the Yankees, when losing so many pitchers to injury (Gil, Schmidt, Poteet), should have, at the very least, used Luke Weaver as a "temporary replacement" starter until the others returned. Unlike Warren, Weaver is an experienced Major Leaguer, and before he came to the Yankees, he was a Major League starter for multiple Major League teams. an optimist might feel moved to mention that the non-third baseman Chisholm, in his as yet brief Yankee tenure, has provided significant, good offense.
I was quite surprised to see that he's batting over .300 as a Yankee
and, as of now, is second only to Judge in OPS
the Yankees should have exited August with no less than 81 wins.
