The Yankees allowed four funs. It might have been a million. It was of no difference.

The Yankees have now lost five games in a row, the last three by shutout. They have scored a combined 5 runs over their last 6 games.

The Yankees have now lost 4 of their last 6 series.

The Yankees are 7-10 over their last 17 games.

This was the 7th time in franchise history the Yankees have been shutout in three consecutive games.

The graphic tonight came from Google Gemini from the prompt: "Please create a graphic in a fun cartoon style of a very confused NY Yankee with question marks and zeros all around him."

Teams go through slumps. Its part of the game. I am not concerned, I know they will hit. They are excellent MLB hitters. What I am concerned with is they do not have an adequate third baseman. Hitting slump notwithstanding, I can essentially put both Angels loses on Chisholm. Neither play was an error, but both plays get made by a MLB third baseman. Both plays ended in runs. They are kidding themselves if they think he is a third baseman. I give him credit for agreeing to the position change, shows his character, but he is a detriment at third to this team.

I saw things getting out of hand

I guess they always will

there are ways to find perspective in misfortune,

but few of them render the experience less unpleasant.

I doubt that there is a rational explanation for a total eclipse of the offense

and also doubt that seizing on a scapegoat will be availing.

let us try to show fortitude in adversity. someone once said that such display is admirable

Replying to

the Dead (and Robert Hunter), yes

but that fortitude in the face of adversity is naturally admirable is something offered by some old stoic known as Seneca

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
