At points in the game, the Yankees were winning 2-0 and 3-1. It didn't last.
Yanks lose.
Full recap in the morning from me.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."

we get a bit of help from the As tonight
they get an excellent play from the left fielder to throw out the go ahead run in the bottom of the 8th. they score 2 in the top of 9. they beat the Rays. yipppeeee)))
the pen now has how many guys that you trust?
Weaver- yes
Williams?? for me I think yes
that gives us 2.
Hill- probably more good than bad but he has been less effective than he was last year
Leiter- I think he has had and does have a LOT of bad luck, but he also suffers from walks and he gives up an awful awful lot of contact. tough to trust him with guys in scoring position
Loaisiga- when he is good he is good. when he is not good? it gets rather ugly
that gives us 3 inconsistent guys with plenty of upside (yes Leiter has upside. remember the postseason?)
Cruz- when will he be back? he can…
Flaherty postgame is in agreement with me. he has NO DOUBT Goldy should pinch hit for DJ
dont even bother to tell me what Peraza BA is. I could care less!! DJ is done. his last 2 ABs he had 4 swinging strikes and did not come within a foot of the ball on a single swing. at least Peraza is a stallion on defense and he gives you some athleticism
let Peraza have all the ABs between now and the deadline. maybe he ups his trade value
the key moment of the game was Boone pulling Rodon. if Rodon finishes that inning the chances for a Yankee W go way up
