Max Fried pitched seven innings without allowing a hit. Then, without even throwing a pitch in the eighth, he gave up a hit. (There was an error a few innings before and the offical scorer waited a while before changing his mind.) (By the way, is it too late to call Jackie Robison out on that steal of home?)

Fried has a 1.42 ERA on the season. The Yankees have won each of his starts.

Trent Grisham homered.

Cody Bellinger homered.

Austin Wells homered.

The Yankees also decided to make sure a 4-run 9th inning lead held up.

Paul, I know very well that I was frustrated with Judge last year for sitting at the end of the year, and you and I were in the same boat (I still believe there were very good reasons to be frustrated). BUT I also am very happy that we have a superstar who is not constantly screaming look at me!!

Judge cares so much more about the team than he cares about himself. I love that. it is the biggest reason I have been able to keep watching and loving baseball since Mariano retired. i no longer watch professional basketball at all!!! and the nfl very little. big time college hoops? dont watch a lick!! big time college football? NOPE

I guess it escaped your memory- Judge also homered))) somehow the single person out of a million who did not think he homered, happened to be the single person with the authority to declare his obvious HR to NOT be a HR

in my mind, the fact that Judge stood up for himself after the game and said with less than zero hesitation- yeah it was a homerun. he got it wrong- is extremely telling. he absolutely NEVER stands up for himself and he did it in this case very clearly and concisely and with no hesitation

Its too bad they were playing in a minor league ball park. The foul pole would be much higher in a major league ball park. You can tell whether it's fair or foul. Unfortunately Judge loss a home run their. I guess you can blame it on the ball park.

Happy Easter everyone!!! Good to see the Yankees bounce back with a win after a tough loss yesterday. Mad Max tossed a gem. He's looking like he's the ace of the pitching staff.

being the Ace of this particular pitching staff is not exactly the Mt Everest of challenges)) haha

if he had an ERA of 4.00 he would be the pretty clear ace of this staff, at the moment, but he is looking like a Cy Young favorite at this moment!!

he has been just a lot lot lot of fun to watch and the fact that we desperately need him to be great and he is rising to the challenge on every occasion makes it even more fun and more impressive!!
