The Yankees went up 1-0.
The Yankees went up 2-0.
Later, the Yankees went up 3-2...
Cody Bellinger homered.
Anthony Volpe homered.
Giancarlo Stanton homered.
Austin Wells homered.
It all mattered little.
The Phillies won the first game of this three game series 12-5.
Is there anyone still arguing that this isn't a swoon?
The Yankees are 8-11 in July. This was after a 13-14 June. And after losing the last two games of May. Add it up... 21-27. That's bad. This bad playing has now comprised 30% of the season.
These are your 2025 Yankees.

Your pitcher, who was after thought in the spring, goes 5+ and allows 2 runs. Your offense scores 5 runs. This was never a ss or 3b problem.
i am going to guess here before you make your big unveiling tomorrow morning. my guess is that your earth shattering move is for BC to trade nearly everyone. sell everything that is not nailed down!!
in the case of Bellinger, who I VERY MUCH believe enjoys being a Yankee and has proven that he can be a valuable Yankee going forward. he could get traded and still return for 2026 via FA.
if we trade everyone, obviously Jones will have the rest of the year to let everyone decide what is possible. depending on how that goes, we may or may not have need to bring Bellinger back
anyway. I am taking my shot. that is my guess.…
