After a near 2 hour delay to start the game tonight, the Yankees (as a whole) did not come out to play, losing 4-1 to the Twins. Rats!

i had it on but I was talking to a lifelong friend who I have not caught up with for a while, so I had the sound off

it appeared that they were saying Goldy has a minor injury???? I am guessing they were talking about this as an explanation for WHY he was not used in the 7th inning

So does bad pitching. See Alexander, Jason, Houston, 5.45 ERA going into Sunday's game. His line: W, 6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 3 BB, 3 K.


The reality we see over and over again is the gutless punkery of the Yankee hitters. All they can do is hit homers, like tonight, mostly solo shots. They can't get on base (like vs. Alexander), and when they can, they can't drive them in (tonight 0-6 RISP).


The pitching failures (like YDLS tonight, or the Three Stooges against Miami and Texas, or Fried himself vs. Alexander, are much more spectacular and noticeable, and thus tend to stick in our minds. But all the gnashing of teeth in tonight's game thread about no…
