Quick Hit: Yankees 5, Royals 2

For the 31st straight year, the Yankees will finish with a winning record. The youth at the bottom of the lineup - Oswaldo Cabrera, Everson Pereira, and Estevan Florial, all contributed RBI singles to the cause. On the next to last day of the season, Frankie Montas made his first appearance of the year - and got the win in relief! Full write-up and analysis tomorrow morning.

Florial, at least to me, keeps showing why he should be the the CF placeholder for Dominguez.

Disgusted that it was setup to give Montas a shot at the W and not Schmidt. Sorry Frankie, but lying about your shoulder when you were traded, go away, and take some of the front office guys with you.

Why wasn't Wells given the game at 1B?

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
