SSTN Programming Note: Autumn

October 27, 2022

This promises to be an exciting and fun-filled autumn with a ton of great baseball discussions and debates. There are and will be a lot of opinions regarding the New York Yankees and the direction(s) they will go as they prepare for the 2023 season.

In order to keep the high quality content you have all become accustomed to, with no daily game recaps to share, we will be posting three articles each day through the fall and winter.

These articles will come at 6:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.

Of course, if breaking news happens, we'll be on it as quickly as possible.

In addition to the discussions about the current Yankees, please be on the lookout for the continuation of many of our popular series' including:

  • The Friday Mailbag

  • The Best Yankee at Each Uniform Number

  • The 1977 Topps Yankee Biographies

  • The SSTN Interview Series

  • Charlie Brown's Baseball Season

  • and so much more...

We love bringing all this great content to you. And all, always, for free. Unlike so many other sites, nothing goes behind a paywall. In addition, we always work to make this site one that is family friendly.

Thanks for always stopping by and taking part in our love of baseball and (of course) the Yankees!

Hey, you should have an open thread for World Series games. Last night, for example, the Astros jumped out to an early lead, but their usually reliable starting pitcher gave it all back! Meanwhile, after the third inning, the Astro bats went silent for the rest of the game! Then the bullpen gave up the game-losing home run in the tenth inning! It was just like watching a Yankee game!

Scattering the Ashes.jpeg

"Scattering The Ashes has all the feels. Paul Russell Semendinger's debut novel taps into every emotion. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll reexamine those relationships that give your life meaning." — Don Burke, writer at The New York Post

The Least Among Them.png

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

—Jonathan Eig, New York Times best-selling author of Luckiest Man, Opening Day, and Ali: A Life

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
