Fast hard fact: Stanton is hitting .166 since June 1, 2022. He still looks like he has trouble starting his swing.

Still bad: 3rd Spring start and they are puling the SP, in this case Rodón, after only 55 pitches & not even 4 innings. When stuff like this is planned, it just gets me angry. Why? Because the announcers, the coaches, and even media call out that the SPs aren't giving enough length, the relievers have been overused, blah, blah, blah. Well, when the System is this way, the only people to blame are the creators/blind users of said System.

OK, I remember when guys used to start off pitching 3 innings in their 1st Spring game, pitch count be damned. Remember, a month of exhibition games are all about the pitchers. I've watched them 'stretch out' German in 2023, and it failed both pitch count and innings wise. If I can't have my veteran starter pitch at least 5 innings of Spring baseball on his 3rd start, then I have no idea what the heck they are doing. Even only 60 pitches is a total joke. Remember, real baseball people are no longer making the decisions here. Don't you think that's the BIGGEST problem?

Oh, last year, while watching a HV game, the announcers told us what Preston Claiborne's…

Stanton batting a torrid .077 this spring. New physique producing the old results so far.

I fear Stanton is the hobgoblin of little minds.

Rodon, 3 IP, 3 ER, 5 H, including 2 HRs. Spring ERA 6.35 -- well, it's half a run better than his 2023 ERA.

After his 1st inning AB, Soto is now batting a cool .700 with a 2.550 OPS. If he does half as well in the regular season, I'll be satisfied.

Soto, Dominguez, Judge, assuming no one is disabled or hobbled by injuries, which given the Yankee medical/training staff, is always a risk.
