If you were the General Manager of the Yankees, who would you plan to be the second baseman in 2024?

I'm of the opinion of "The trade for Arenado and possibly the closer, with cash considerations, on their contracts, and Walker at 1B. Jazz to 2B,, of course with the Hail Mary for Soto's return,.. I do like Durban too as a backup plan , also hopefully DJ, has some sort of comeback player, just don't see a hitter of his stature, just totally falling off the planet ?!?!...

My other comment aside, if it was me, I'd go in with the plan that it's Durbin's job to lose in Spring Training. And I'd spend all Spring like they did in 2023, where Volpe was the leadoff batter in every game he played, no matter who else was playing with him. IT doesn't mean that if a deal came across my way to get a 3B, I wouldn't pounce on it. But my feeling is, that the Yankees, outside of Soto, the only other place they're going to spend money is on a 1B. If they get a veteran 3B, Durbin will be fighting for a bench role, with him getting lots of Spring time in CF, and Rice…

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
