What a conundrum the Yankees are in...

They win for long periods. They lose for long periods. They look great. They look terrible.

If you ran the Yankees, over the next two weeks, with the trade deadline looming, would you be a buyer or a seller?

Is it time to go big to try to win it all in 2025 or is it time to start building for the future?

Today, the Yankees are a playoff team, two games up in the Wild Card standings. Don't take postseason for granted. Spend, but spend wisely. Don't hesitate to deal prime talent for prime talent, but not for rentals.

i have said it many times. the BEST use of Jones is in a trade for a stud. NO rentals. I would never trade him for Suarez.

after the last 2 days, I think 8 for 10 with at least 3 HR and multiple doubles, I will say this. the Yankees scouting and player development folks better have their big boy pants on!!! IF the Yankees absolutely believe that Spencer Jones will start for them next year and his ceiling is similar to what they believe for Jdom, they have a REAL tough choice to make!!! as was pointed out in this thread earlier great position players are worth more than pitchers. pitchers get hurt. our biggest need is pit…

I've also pondered, if what I'm suggesting below were to happen. Would it be prudent to attempt to deal a Williams or a Stroman or even a ...Stanton (if he was willing to approve) to recoup some prospect capital or other useful pieces?

With Moncada, Maton, Robertson, Bednar and perhaps Santana in the fold, infield solidification and run suppression both happen. Is Tampa the only team in the League that's allowed to throw a bunch of relievers at the wall and see who they can get out?

Some have floated the idea of trading Trent Grisham , I'm completely out on this notion. Some think bringing in Harrison Bader would be the play. Here we go again!

Cashman and Stienbrenner…

Quoting what I wrote above, I want 4 to 5 relievers and Moncada for a light cost.

"Moncada, Maton, Robertson, Bednar and Santana. How's that for a 2025 Deadline haul? Don't have to give up your best Yankees prospects to aquire them either. Four to five relivers??? Am I crazy?

A better, deeper bullpen would go a long way towards fixing the Yankees most dire problems and Moncada, while often injured, is at the time of this post healthy and he's on an expiring, cheap deal. The guy is hitting a home run in just about every 10 at-bats since coming off the DL. I'm good with Cada.

If the Yankees want to win the World Series, they need to…

I'm NOT buying big. Give me Moncada on the cheap, David Robertson and we'll see what else shakes loose.

Gil is coming back soon. People need to calm down about a starter. Granted, the rotation is presently very rag-tag, but his blister willing to go away, Fried can lead this team to a championship and with Rodon, if the Yankees get "good Rodon" in the playoffs, that could be a nice 1-2 punch at Yankee stadium.

I've written recently and I'll stand by this, that Cashman will need to be thrify at the Deadline. The Yankees don't have the expendable prospect depth to land top end difference makers. Don't confuse this mean they don't have the prospects either. They lack…

i TOTALLY agree with you that the pen needs to be the priority. I think a starter of some type is near a necessity, but you are correct it is possible they could get by

where we differ is your desire to go economical, while I say spend your big chips and get some TRUE top of the line difference maker relievers. we have SOOOOO many pitching prospects. there is no chance we have room for all of them. we have 3 MLB catchers and 4 more in our top 30. no place for all of them

as frustrating as Volpe can be, it is very doubtful he is going anywhere. do we think they will let Jazz walk afte…

To me, the biggest problem is Brian Cashman. How do you fix that? He controls the coaching methods & philosophies. He controls who are the coaches, what the roster construction is, and he is the one stopping us since firing Girardi to having a real manager. Oh yeah, he doesn't want one. Then he refuses yo change the Yankees Medical Group. This year it was Gil, last year it was Schmidt, the damn lat injury. Luis Severino has had no problem staying healthy since leaving the Bronx. Should I continue?

The above being said, I'm buying, but I can see guys off the big league roster being included on the trades If Escarra is not going to catch Warren (look…

Now do you understand based on my parameters on what it would take me to trade some of these guys? Quick note: the most underrated A prospect is OF Marshall Toole. He is leading the FSL in BA, SLG, and in the top 3 in OBP, and cometh like 6th in SB (27 for 30).
