The comments feature has been turned back on. Please note that this does not mean that there will not be issues with the comments. Fixing this issue is a process. The fix might not be perfect.

As we move forward, please be patient and understanding.

Please also refrain from snark and complaining.

If a comment doesn't post, a simple note saying, "Hey, my last comment didn't post" will be enough to alert us here that we still have work to do to fix the issue. What we don't need is a litany of comments, over and over, pointing out that there is a problem.

Also of note as as an important reminder - the comments are a place for fans (all fans) to share their own thoughts and perspectives on the Yankees. This feature only truly works as a forum for all fans when the people responding are clear in what they write, are respectful of other people, and differing opinions, and when they refrain from inside jokes and obscure references, and, of course, when they don't mock others. Everyone knows what the expectations here are.

I have shared many times that when the comments don't meet the expectations above, it does not welcome more comments or more readers to this site, it drives them away. It is a truism that people do not wish to comment on a site where they feel they will be mocked or talked down to.

Further, other fans and potential readers do not wish to go to a site that encourages that type of interaction. Poor behavior brings everyone down.

At this site, we promote and expect better.

As we go forward, please understand what I have written here.

Please respond to each other and our writers respectfully. Think before you type and then think again before you submit a comment.

We will not agree on all things regarding the Yankees. Respectful debate and dialogue is part of the fun of talking sports. But as we discuss and debate, we need to be kind and understanding and respectful.

Thank you.

The Least Among Them.png

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
