Suzuki earned votes on 94.7% of ballots, Wagner and Sabathia were both named on 81.3% of ballots, and Mauer and Jones squeaked in with 76% of the vote apiece. Three other players exceeded 50%, led by Carlos Beltrán with 58.7%. A 75% threshold is required for election. Complete voting results are listed below.

The IBWAA endeavors to serve the baseball writing community, representing more than 800 baseball content creators. We strive to increase visibility, networking, and opportunities for all of our members. Voting for full-season awards takes place in September of each year, with selections announced in November. The IBWAA holds a Hall of Fame election in December of each year, with results announced the following January. Additionally, IBWAA members participate in preseason predictions and All-Star Game elections.

Association membership is open to any and all Internet baseball writers and content creators. For more information, please visit www.ibwaa.com.

While Chris's comment is far from clear, I think he's saying that he's read commentary criticizing Sabathia's selection, and that it's the commentariat, not the Hall voters, who are Yankee haters. But without more explication (and perhaps fewer emojis), I can't be sure.

After seeing myself the entire careers of both Donald Arthur Mattingly & Joe Mauer, can someone please explain to me how Mauer is in and Mattingly isn't? I just don't get it. Mauer spent almost literally half his career at 1B, not C, but I have a feeling his career judged through a catcher's lens. Oh, and if Mauer and Ted Simmons are in, why isn't Jorge Posada?

Oh, and has the IBWAA put My Captain, Thurman Munson in their version of the Hall?

The IBWAA has not developed a veteran's comittee to look at past players.

The Hall of Very Good, indeed.

After the no brainer Ichiro, you can make a case for CC and Jones.

But Mauer and Wagner?

For a brief 3 year period Mauer looked like a future HoF player. But he faded awfully fast.

Time to re-valuate Mattingly, Munson and even Posada.

Wagner had 2 Top 10 CYA and 1 Top 20 MVP finishes in 16 seasons. That’s a Hall of Famer?

It’s time to stop voting in guys who play only 60-70 innings a year. There was only one Mariano and multi inning guys like Gossage are long gone.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
