"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."

As a 13 year old back in 1981 I literally saw PUFF dominated the Oakland A's in the ALCS. Offensively he drove in key runs in a 3 game sweep. He was named ALCS MVP for that series.
If Scott Rolen is in the HOF... then why thr heck isnt Puff in?
I know he played at the same time as Brooks and (future illness replacement) Aurielo Rodriguez, but #9 was special in the field and he was a pretty good power bat too.
But my mist favorite story is on a ball he missed
Bucky Dent always went yo back him up, and this time he made the play. When the reporter asked Bucky they seemed shocked that he'd back hom up because he never missed (OK. a fielding or throwing error but never a whiff). I'll never forget the way the teporter asked it like he never thought #9 wouldn't make the play.
But getting him…
