Paul Semendinger feels that it is time to sell. What does EJ Fagan believe? That - and more...

wow, EJ sounds exactly like my answer to the recent question should NYY buy or sell.

I stated that my reason for continuing to believe in this team is that BC built an incredible roster for the 2025 season. I have always disagreed with the position that he built a horribly flawed roster. some have been very upset about 3b, but that was the only hole and before Cabrera got hurt is was a MINIMAL hole, and one that i fully believe BC had every intent to address after taking a few months to assess the market

the rotation was as good as ANY in MLB

what happened?

Gil goes down, Cole goes down, even Stroman went down for a…

my offer on Cease is Escarra and Grisham and Thatcher Hurd. I am seeing proposals of Escarra and ERC. if we are confident we can get another starter i do not think I am throwing any top prospect in addition to Escarra and / or Grisham

Replying to

apparently they will also listen on Suarez, their closer. how about Escarra, Grisham, Lalane, Hurd for Cease and Suarez?

PLEASE no on Flores

my near untouchable (I dont know if i ever see anyone as truly untouchable. I would have traded Lombard in a second for Ramirez) list is Lombard, Schlittler, Flores, Lagrange in that exact order.

in my mind if the playoffs begin today Schlittler is VERY likely our #3 starter. at this point, his value to the the Yankees, actually being on the NYY roster and being able to help, not trade value, is much higher than Spencer Jones

but Flores has to be kept. in my mind we already have made 3 mistakes in the last 12-15 months in trading Ramirez, Narvaez, and Durbin. yes we did get valuable players back in every one of tho…

THANK YOU EJ

thank you for pointing out that the Yankees have solved something that has been a problem for a LONG TIME and solving it for 2 more years

the Yankees have needed a 3b for a LONG TIME

Suarez would have definitely helped the hitting! nobody can deny that. as long as he was healthy, he would make the lineup better. but more hitting was FAR from our biggest need

we traded little for McMahon. I DO think Herring was a good and valuable prospect, but you are beyond correct! getting McMahon for 2 A+ players as opposed to getting Suarez for Warren, ERC, and Riggio is a great great move

again, BC deserves a lot of credit…

EJ, trading LHP Griffin Herring is a big time prospect. He really is the 2025 version of what Drew Thorpe was 2 years ago. And Thorpe was THE prospect in 2 deals - Soto & Cease. Outside of Severino and Deivi Garcia, I cannot remember when they promoted pitchers multiple levels in the same season, and Herring should be in AA in my opinion, which would've been his 2nd promotion.

I'd lean more to selling or standing pat than going all in on buying. Now, are there guys out there that should be traded for even if they won't make it this year, sure. The only guy of the veterans I wouldn't trade is Bellinger, because of his defensive versatilit…
