It seems like the NYY's need a shock to the heart to turn the 2025 season around.

The "defibrillators" you might consider are:

  1. Fire Boone - hire a Girardi or a Shelley Duncan

  2. Send Volpe to the minors and play Caballero

Those moves would take guts! And, at this point, guts are what is needed.

Out of the 5 guys who were the finalists to replace Girardi - Bam Bam, Beltran, Boone, Penà, and I forget the 5th guy, the guy i wanted was Bam Ba. But I realized once all those guys had to their final interview with a post interview presser, I realized that the next guy would be the Manager in name only. So I always gave no thought to Boone, whether he is good or bad, no blame but also no credit, because Cashman wanted total control including in the dugout. And nothing has happened to disprove my thinking this entire time.

As for the Jazz thing, remember, Boone told us last summer he was benching Torres, and 2 days later,…

But still, you must take the time to understand, by doing nothing (as you say), Boone is doing something.

Doing nothing sets a tone. A leader in name only still impacts an organization.

You cannot state that Boone's actions or nonactions don't impact the team. That's impossible. It makes no sense, at all.

You've also never explained how Cashman, or whomever, tells Boone what to do in real time. Is Boone attached via a headset?
