If Luis Gil could just reduce the BB's, he'd have ACE potential. He's damn-near unhittable at times. I worry about him out of the pen. Walks are the bane of managers everywhere - especially in the post-season. Warren may be the better choice to pitch in relief.


As for Austin Slater's upcoming reactivation, I think Escarra's presence is too valuable to return to the minors. He gives Boone enormous flexibility into how best to deploy/substitute for Wells/Rice. I'd expect the NYY's to go back to 13 p's, likely DFA'ing Blackburn.
