The Tuesday Discussion SSTN Predictions (Paul Semendinger)

by Paul Semendinger

March 30, 2021

As I look into the crystal ball, here are my prediction for the 2021 Yankees.

What will the 2021 Yankees’ win/loss record be?

The 2021 Yankees will win 103 games. They will go 103-59.

What is your prediction for the 2021 Yankees?

This, finally, is the Yankees’ year. It’s World Series or bust. I think they are going all the way.

We will all be celebrating a Yankees’ World Championship, #28, in 2021.

The Yankees will trade this player during the season.

Domingo German

The Yankees will acquire this player during the season.

Luis Castillo or Aaron Nola (In July, the Yankees make the decision to go for it and they play big and acquire a top-line starting pitcher)

Who will lead the team in hits?

The easy answer here is D.J. LeMahieu. No other player even profiles as a player who could be considered.

Who will lead the team in home runs?

This should be a battle between Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. 2021 is the year that Giancarlo Stanton becomes the player the Yankees hoped he would be.

Which pitcher will win the most games?

The easy answer here is Gerrit Cole. It’s almost impossible to imagine any other pitcher leading the team in wins unless Jamison Taillon stays healthy and just out pitches the world. That would be awesome to see, but the easy (and correct) answer here is Gerrit Cole.

Will any Yankee win a major award (Rookie of the Year, MVP, Cy Young)?

Giancarlo Stanton will be the 2021 American League Most Valuable Player. His .284/52/123 stat line will just look too great to ignore.
