This was the most frightening Yankees moment I can remember…

I will never forget the big Halloween Yankees moment in 2001, when in Game Four of the World Series against the Diamondbacks, Derek Jeter hit a full-count home run off Arizona’s Byun-Hyun Kim to give the Yankees a dramatic, series tying victory in what was one of the more dramatic World Series ever played.

Of course the Yankees were on the brink of victory in this series, only to lose it in the bottom of the ninth inning in Game Seven, when Mariano Rivera gave up two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The city of New York went through so much that year and the Yankees reached deep, making every effort to win that remarkable series.

The Jeter home run was certainly a nightmare for Kim and the Diamondbacks, but it was a great Halloween memory for Yankee fans!

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
