Welcome to the New York RailRiders: 7 MLB’ers to IL

After the craziness of everything yesterday, the Yankees have officially moved 5 players to the IL for reasons related to COVID-19. This includes Aaron Judge, Gio Urshela, Kyle Higashioka, and 2 relievers joining Jonathan Loaisiga.

To take their place on the MLB team comes two notable names of players having a great season at Triple-A: Trey Amburgey and Hoy-Jun Park.

…oh and did we mention Luke Voit went on the IL for a bone bruise too? Yeah, that happened…

Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves: •Placed INF Luke Voit on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to 7/13) with left knee inflammation. •Recalled INF Chris Gittens (#92) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. — New York Yankees (@Yankees) July 16, 2021

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
