Over the next many months, I am going to review the credentials of several former Yankees and highlighting their careers. Many of their accomplishments have been forgotten. Even if some are not future Hall of Famers, it's good to remember what they did accomplish.

Together, we can discuss if we believe that they are deserving of being included in the Hall Of Fame or not. I hope you read along and give me your opinions.

Today we are going to be looking at...

Jesse Barfield...

He spent his last four years of his 12 year career with the Yankees.
His career WAR is 39.4
He had four seasons of 5.0+.
He was an All Star two times
He was a Gold Glove winner.
Barfield led the A.L. in homers in 1986
He was known to have one of the strongest arms in outfield history
His WAR ranks above other would-be Hall of Famers such as Roger Maris
