Yankees Baseball Card Trivia at Noon – Black History Month

ProfRobert is back to bring us this week’s Yankees baseball card trivia.

February is Black History Month, and this week, we have baseball cards of black players following the Yankees’ belatedly integration in 1955, eight years after Jackie Robinson broke the color line. Only the Phillies, Tigers and Red Sox took longer than the Yankees to finally stop having a whites-only team.

Monday: Everyone knows (or should know) that Elston Howard was the first black man to play for the Yankees. This man was the second.
